Interstate Transfer of Parole for DUI Based on Marriage
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Pennsylvania.
I am on Parole (45 days work release) for a 2nd DUI. I filed an Interstate Compact Transfer to the state of Texas where my fiance lives and was denied because we are not married.
I am traveling to Texas in 3 weeks for 1 1/2 weeks. We plan to marry by justice of the peace and resubmit my Interstate Transfer. Do you know if our marriage will "qualify" and if this will seal in our chances of being approved.
I am on probation for 5 years and my fiance is contracted to a large oil company in Texas.
Will our new marriage help grant my transfer? What other tips do you have on helping 'gaurantee' approval?
Thank you
