Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor in Iowa
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Iowa

Ok, me and a couple friends, one who was under 18, were driving around shooting off bottle rockets. We got pulled over and since the fireworks were not mine, and I did not light any(the underage kid was the one lighting) me and the other guy that is over 18 both got charged for "contributing to the delinquency of a minor by having him out past curfew and lighting off fireworks".

Does anyone know what kind of punishment I should be expecting? This was my first offense.

    Thanks!

If you're charged under Iowa Code Sec. 709A.1, that's a simple misdemeanor (Maximum jail term not to exceed 30 days; mandatory fine of at least $50 but not more than $500); you may be eligible for a suspended sentence.
