Seizure of Finances After a Credit Card Judgement
I am about to have a credit card judgement against me from Providiian Credit Card Company, ( the company that was taken to court and found guilty of not posting payments even though they recieved them on time). I am wondering if they can get to your investment/stock accounts, and seize money that is in your investment/stock accounts and take that money legally and apply it to your judgement for a credit card debt. ???? ANy help on this is greatly appreciated.. Thanks

Garnishment of investment accounts to satisfy a judgment
It depends upon the nature of the accounts. For example, a personal investment account would normally be fair game; an ERISA-qualified 401K account would normally be exempt.
