Children Responsible for Deceased Medical Debit
My question involves collection proceedings in the State of: CA

I am the executor/trustee of my fathers estate. He past away & I received a letter from his dentist stating he owed XXX amont of money. He had no dental insurance. If I do not make payment they stated it will be sent to collections. There was a trust & will set up. He also owns a home. After his death, social seciruty stopped, his retirement stopped, so there is no money coming in. Am I liable for this debit? If they do send it to collections, is that asgainst him or my credit? What happens at that point? Do they put a lien against his house? Thanks in advance.

Yes, the debt is usually paid from the estate settlement.
