Insurance Company's Doctors Misdiagnosed My Injury and Pushed Me Back to Work
I am a hard working husband and father. I am not trying to milk any insurance company for money that I don't deserve. I rather be working, making a honest income but I do feel like I should be compensated from my Employer if I am unable to work let alone move around freely like I did before My accident. I THANK YOU FOR HAVING THIS SITE AND THE PEOPLE WHO OFFER ADVICE.

I injuried my lower back 6/2009 in arizona, MRI findings herinated disc with pinched nerve. I've seen 3 doctors, spine specialist, and Physical therapist all at at a urgent care center that my employer sent me to. 1st doc had xray done and said it was just a sprain back and sent me back to work w/ restrictions and meds that did nothing. Over the weekend I went to ER becuae pain was unbareable and CT scan was taken and more than sprain was found. ER Doctor said I had bulging disc and gave narc that help only a little. Second Doctor at urgen care said it was ddd and every old person gets it (Im 26) and said it was just a bad sprain but saw that I was in alot of pain so took me off of work with physical therapy and scheduled to get MRI. 3rd Doctor scheduled me to see spine specialist who's office is at the same urgent Care and also kept me out of work. After getting MRI and no one telling me to bring the MRI films to the appointment with the specialist ( I assumed they had the results delivered to the specialist). 1st visit with specialist, I thought he seen the MRI results because he said I had a bulging Disc and said it would go away with PT and sent me back to work with restrictions. I did not return to work because I was could not drive or sit or stand for long periods of time. 2nd visit he asked me why didn't I bring the MRI film. I told him that I thought he had the film before my first visit and you never asked me to bring them. He said that he told me to bring them to the second visit, Which was not true. I told doc that it hurt when stand and sat straight up and was unable to return to work. He sent me back to work with DECREASED restrictions and took me off of PT. Job called and told me that they had modified work for me and I had to work . I went in to work for 2 hours and had to go home because me sitting up was just as painful as standing. 3rd visit the doc told me he did not like his patients sitting home not doing anything. I asked him what was his reason for taking me off of Physical Therapy if he did not want me just sitting at home. He said he never ordered me not to have PT and tried to blame the PT and his Staff. And after finally seeing my MRI results that I bought with me, He said I had pinched nerve w/ herinated disc. After all the times going to the doctor, they still documented that I had a sprain back, after having a Mri, CT scan, xray and even having a injection done. Job kept telling me eventhough I looked like I was in pain when I did work, I had to come to work since that doctor released w/ restrictions. I knew right there that the job or insurance company was not sincere and just wanted to push me back to work despite my injury and pain.

My question is, could I have a good case if I got a lawyer to fight for loss wages since the Doctors seem not to be truthful and reliable. I had to quit and move out of state with family because the pain in my back and legs are still hurting as if I was recently injuried and having to pop pills all day to keep the pain level'd. Also even if I could work from home on my laptop, did my employer have the right to not offer it to me.

Particularly with your quitting and moving to another state, it makes sense to at least consult a worker's comp lawyer. The consultation will be free.

Workers comp doctors are paid by the insurance companys. Because they are then they lie and get away with it. My situation was very similiar I had seen multiple workers comp quacks and all said muscles and ligaments. He sent me back to work as a construction worker full duty no restrictions. I was fired 4 months later after trying to refill pain medication (over the counter stuff) turns out I had a herniated disk when I went to my own doctor. @uck the comp doctor. What the comp doctor did was CYA in his notes which I had a Lawyer at this point he noted herniated disk! and never disclosed it to me. His job is not to heal you but to get you off W/C so the company can fire you there #ASTARSDS WITH NO SOLES. Get all you can screw the system anyway you can legally. I have two friends one a nurse and the other a fireman both had serious back injuries and were fired from there jobs, then the fights begin! This story is played out over and over again all accross the country, the insurance companys get rich the lawyers get rich and we get a life time of pain and suffering.
