    Leased Vehicle and Impound Fees
My car is in the pound for tickets in judgement. It has been there for two weeks and I am considering filing for chap 7 because it is damaged and I don't have the money for tickets to get out. If leasing company gets wind of this before I file my papers what will happen? Car is going to be sold at auction if I don't get it out. I don't have time on my hands. Should I let the leasing company know what has happened to the vehicle? Or should I just wait it out until I file the papers which would be when I get the rest of the attorney fees.

What does your lease contract say about such situations?

Usually, the leasing company requires immediate notification of such problems.
