My question involves juvenile law in the State of: FL
I kicked my son out of my house to days ago. He is 17yo and is beginning his senior year this month. Do I have to take him back home? If so, at what age can he permanently move out?

You are legally and financially responsible for him until he is 18.
Thank you for your prompt reply.
If he comes home, play nice, bite your lip, whatever you have to do - because you can go to jail for having kicked him out. Probably won't be an issue if he returns, but if he learns of this fun fact of Florida law, you can bet that the next time he'll take full advantage of it.
Nothing makes a P.O.'d teenager smile more than having a police officer standing next to them when they knock on the locked door and a parent or guardian says "go away". Whoa. Big mistake. Uncomfy bracelets. Criminal charges like "failure to protect" or "child neglect" can be very unpleasant, even if intent was lacking.
Remember you have to provide food, clothing and shelter. That doesn't mean Ipod, computer, telephone, designer clothes.
It would be perfectly suitable for you to provide a mattress on the floor, pillow, blanket, clothes from the Salvation Army, macaroni and cheese.
...get my drift;)
Doesn't have to be name brand mac n cheese either =)
