does anyone know if a class c assault charge goes on your record if you plead no contest and served 12 hrs in jail, and the reason why I was there is because i had to go to the process that they have, but I saw the Judge and was released the same day that I went.no charges where filed fo any kind towards me.

Charges must have been filed, as you report that you entered a "no contest" plea to a Class C Misdemeanor charge and were sentenced to... time served?

A "no contest" plea is treated in the same manner as a guilty plea, so from what you have stated there is every reason to believe the court's record would reflect a conviction to the charge.

A class c assault is not reported to DPS, I was put in jail for a class c assault and bailed out, and went before a municpal court judge and had the charged dimmissed, and now I'm in the process of having this class c assault expunged. I was told by DPS that after 10 years class c misdemeanors are destroyed.
