Caught Shoplifting

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Washington State

Hi,

I was caught shoplifting 14 days ago. I have not yet receive the court hearing date. The police told me to contact the court within 15 days starting from the date of the incident If I did not hear anything from them. I have contacted the city court Friday and he said I missed my court date, which was on Wednesday.
Is it possible for me to have another appearance?
I have read online that a warrant can be issued. If I go to the next court date can I get rid of the warrant? Any information would help thank you.

I'd be on your best behavior until you get one. Since you missed the court date, there will likely be an arrest warrant out. They probably won't come to your door, but if you were to be pulled over for speeding, etc...the warrant would show when they check out your license and registration.
