Health Insurance Overpayment
My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: MN
My husband's employer included me on his insurance, even though we indicated on forms that I had another insurance thru my employer, and would not be on his insurance. This particular insurance had a payment fee for each person on the insurance-- and when we discovered the mistake, we had overpaid by $900. My husband's human resources dept. admits that the forms were filled out correctly by us, but we should have discovered the mistake and they refuse to reimburse us for overpayment. Please advise if we have any recourse at this point other than small claims against his employer. Thank you!

Who completed the forms? If your husband did and put you down, that is his fault, not the employer and he will have to wait until open enrollment to take you off.
