My question involves real estate located in the State of: California . I bought a piece of property that was owned by one family back in the 50s. this was one large piece of property that was divided up between family members. Since they were all related they didn't really pay much attention where they put the block walls and out buildings. Since then they have all passed on and the individual homes have been sold. I now have a neighbor telling me that my wall and out building are six feet over on his property. I can not find any stakes or markers. Is there any time limit on a situation like this, It's been like this since the 50s. How long is a survey good for as far as being legal reference. will the property need to be surveyed again and who is responsible for the cost? Thanks Steve
