My question involves emancipation laws for the State of: Kentucky.
I am 16 and currently do not live with my parents. I have a job, and live with a roommate. Where do I go to file for emancipation? & how do I do it?
I currently have a job, and can't be enrolled in school where I am living because my legal guardian/parent has to live in the same district also.
Kentucky has no statutory provisions for emancipation. That means you cannot be emancipated in your state.
Actually there is. You just have to dig deep.

That's only a bill, introduced in 2000. It was not made law.
Until it is, there's no emancipation statute. When it is, follow the instructions given therein.
