Busted and Waiting Trial - Would They Come After Me if I Left
I was busted with a few grams of hash, also a paraphernalia charge and endangering a minor charge because I had the hash in the house. The paraphernalia was only some rolling paper and a heat sealer. I was charged a B Class Felony and if I didn't show up for trial, do all they do is just issue a warrant or do they investigate and track you down?
I was involved in medical marijuana and some big people were busted whom I know and they want information out of me and they seem to want to make some example out of me, but the prosecuting attorney did say to my attorney he wasn't really interested in bringing me down, the problem is the judge is harsh and might want to hold other evidence against me the lawyer said.
I have no criminal record and I was let out on supervisory bail, so I'm wondering if they'd even have me listed at the airport, so I can leave?
I've been told I can just check in at a Kiosk and that way I don't need to check in at the counter checkin and not worry about a security check done on me, just show my ID pass through security, go to the gate and then just show my ID again maybe at the gate with ticket and load the plane.
I'm planning on leaving the USA and going overseas. Yeah maybe this is extreme to you, but PLEASE no moral speeches, please just stick to the questions... THANKS
I used my bank card to buy plane tickets, so there's a paper trail going overseas...
My questions are:
Getting busted on a small charge even though it's considered a B Class Felony, I wonder if they'd come after me overseas or alert local authorities with a warrant for my arrest with the information they find on the plane tickets as to my general whereabouts.
In situations like this, what do they do, just issue a warrant for arrest is all? I thought if I'm just a small profile case, not some high profile case at all, then this is all that would happen, that there wouldn't be the man power used to investigate and hunt me down.
For something like this, will the warrant eventually fade away?
I know most are probably going to tell me to work it out and give me a moral speech. I don't believe in the American justice system that wants to punish someone, especially when the law in the first place told me I was ok, then arrests me. I'd appreciate it if someone would just give me answers to these questions...
Thanks...
Re: Busted and Waiting Trial - Would They Come After Me if I Left
they issue a warrant and depending on how busy/how high of a priority you are to them... they are they may or they may not track you down hard to say
not sure about the airport stuff leaving the country is most likely an issue with a warrant on you though
warrants won't fade away... unless charges are dropped... unlikely....
did your state legalize medical marijuana and do you have a prescription?
no worries no moral speeches from me
also depends on the country you are planning to go to some extradite some don't
and i, in no way endorse any of what you may or may not be doing.... just providing information

I had a warrant and was arrested and charged with a b class felony, now I'm out on supervisory bail, so at this point in time there is no other warrant out for me again, I haven't left yet, but by the time I do, then there will be another warrant out.
I had the legal right for medical marijuana by the state.
I thought the statutes of limitations for a b class felony were 3 years and after that time the warrant and charges are dropped.
My understanding of statutes of limitations is that it's also a humane issue that you're not going to have to run your whole life, unless of course you murdered someone, then that never goes away.
Re: Busted and Waiting Trial - Would They Come After Me if I Left
I was involved in an altercation in the state of KY. A guy started it by mouthing off and getting up in my face, I pushed him out of my face and he went inside his apartment commenting about getting a weapon. A random bystander knocked on the guys door and he opened the door. I walked over and confronted him about the situation. (we were previously friends) after a few minutes of trash talking he reached behind him (I thought he was getting a weapon of some sort) and then swung with his left hand missing my face and hitting me in the chest. So out of instinct I fought back. I hit him 4 or 5 times then he kicked me in the nuts and I backed off and he shut the door. I then went to my apt. downstairs and went to bed. The next morning I find out he went to the ER with a broken nose and is pressing 4th degree assault charges. I have talked to the officer who left me a message on my cell phone. I told him exactly what happened, Can I be jailed for defending myself>???? I need help please!
