Two Fathers on Birth Certificate
My question involves adoption law for the State of: New Jersey or Arizona
I was born in New Jersey and adopted in Arizona. My mother is my biologial mother and she is listed on my birth certificate. I did not know my biological father at the time. Can I have my biological father and my adoptive father on my birth certificate now that I am an adult?
I woud like this option vs. an adult adoption so that I would be able to keep a link with my adoptive family as well as create a link to my natural father.
Any information would be appriciated... I am lost!

No. You can only list one father on the birth certificate.
Are you seeking to create a legal link to your biological father? If so, why? You need not have any forms or paperwork to pursue and maintain a relationship with him OR with your parents.
Re: Two Fathers on Birth Certificate
I am very aware that I can maintain a relationship with my biological father without his name being put on my birth certificate, and I have for a long time.
It is a touchy subject for both fathers and I was searching for information before I would bring this issue up, if I even do decide to pursue the idea at all.
I have heard that the state of Colorado has a provision for this, but I do not know the details, as a result, my question was simply an inquiry.
