Minor Attempting to Purchase Alcohol

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Michigan

I am 19 and went to a party store to attempt to purchase a 6 pack of beer. The attendant pointed to a sticker that read "no id no booze" and I explained that I didnt have my ID on me. Her husband went outside and presumably got my license plate information (although the car is registered to my 52 year old mother). I havent been cited for anything as of yet but without getting local legal advice I was just wondering what I need to know. I have no prior record but in michigan "Purchasing, attempting to purchase, consuming or being in posession of..." is a misdemeanor. Any ideas ?

Most likely nothing will happen.
