Disobeyed Posted Traffic Sign, Failure to Obey Traffic Control Device
My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: NY
I received a ticket which would have been a speeding ticket. He returned with a ticket citied as disobeyed posted traffic sign, failure to obey traffic control device. He said just plead guilty on the ticket and mail it in and I will receive my fine through the mail and just pay the fine. Record clean since 2005.
I just have a series of questions.
1. Would there be any grounds on trying to fight this ticket even though I was clearly speeding? (trying to keep record clean)
2. How many pts will I receive on my license and how much will the fine be? (estimated figure)
3. What are the odds my license will be suspended? (My job is dependent on me driving)
4. The ticket is clearly citied as disobeyed posted traffic sign, failure to obey traffic control device. I've tried
to imagine different scenarios that you would get this ticket but wasn't really sure. The reason why I say this is I'm not sure how
the whole ticket system works but is there anywhere saying that this was for speeding or is this a speeding ticket
just worded differently?
I have a a NY drivers license and the vehicle I was driving is registered in a different state under my name.
5. Again, not sure how the system works but will this ticket appear in the state the vehicle is registered or just NY because
that is where my drivers license is from?
If any more details are needed please let me know. I had it all typed more detailed but I got an error trying to preview the post so I did this very quickly. Questions 4 and 5 are due to my job.

What statute number were you cited for and does the citation mention anything as far as your speed versus a speed limit?
