    Travel with a Petty Warrant
Was paying payments on some speeding ticket fines and got behind and now i have a warrant. My sister is getting married in Jamaica and we leave in a week. Somebody told me that I would be detained when they scan my passport, is this true even if its not a felony warrant?

You could be detained for an outstanding bench warrant, but the chances are slim. People who don't pay their traffic fines aren't exactly Homeland Security's first priority.

Even so, you should try to make arrangements to get this cleared up before you go. It would be a great big pile of Not Fun if you were to, say, blow a tire on the way to the airport and need assistance, only to have the nice Statie helping you out find that you had a warrant.
