Emancipation or custody?
My younger sister (16) is still living at home with my mom and step-father. They recently lost custody of his two kids because my step-father beat his daughter. My sister however was left in the home and I want to help her get out. The situation is not good, there is alot of drinking and fighting involved. After doing some research I have discovered that emancipation is not really an option in Ohio. I have my own apartment and a full-time job. Would it be possible for me to get custody of her? I am not quite 20 years old yet, but I know I could support her. Is that an option? If its not, what options DO we have?
