Will My Divorce Ever End, and Do I Replace My Attorney
My question involves divorce in the State of: California

I left my long term marriage in early 08. We have attorneys and I cannot seem to get this finished up. Her attorney is nasty and aggressive, mine is basically doing nothing. Her attorney hired a "forensic cpa" to lie and say I make $12,000 a month (I am self employed) I truly make less than half that. My attorney could not make that court date so temporary family support was set at $3500 a month. I am almost bankrupt from trying to pay that and cannot seem to get my attorney to get us back in court with my cpa to have it rectified. My x also refuses to get a job of any kind and is using school (one class a semester at that) as an excuse. We have kids and it is a nasty, complicated divorce. do I find a new attorney? I am in for about $8k to my current one. how do I force her to get a job? my attorney recommended we make her see a career counselor, but cannot find one that is less than $2000. Does anyone know of a reputable attorney or career counselor in the Sacramento area? This has wiped out any savings or money I have and am in major debt, yet she is reeping the rewards.. is the california court system really this messed up? :wallbang:

If you don't like what your attorney is doing for you, you need to at least talk to your own attorney if not switch attorneys. Your attorney may be doing all that's possible, even if you would prefer him to be more cutthroat.
