Hot Check
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Texas. I got into trouble for writing hot checks. I owe $3500. My parents are helping me get a loan to take care of the money but the District Attorney is not wanting to wait...he needs the money now! And the loan may take at most a week to fully process...what happens if they issue a warrant for my arrest and then 3 days later I pay the money...will I still have to go to jail? What will happen with my warrant?? They are filing felony theft charges against me. I have a lawyer working on the case too. I just don't want to go to jail...please help me.

Re: Hot Check
If you have an attorney, you need to be talking to your attorney about your case.
It's really a bad idea to go asking educated laypeople on the internet for opinions that may conflict with those of the pro you're paying to help you.
Take a deep breath, then call your attorney.
