Cell Phone Stolen and Used
My son's cell phone was stolen, heavily used for three days ($400 in addition to unlimited voice and text messages which are not charged) and an hour after I cut off the service, a kid picks "Papa" out of the list of phone numbers to call me and tell me he found the found. Turns out it is a co-worker of my son and he goes to pick it up. My son has a number of reasons to believe the didn't just find it, but he is the one who stole and used it. I have the phone and all of the records of the bill, which I'm sure would turn up some phone number that would point to him. Grand Larceny? (Virginia). I thought I'd first contact parents by registered mail with the details that I have. The damage is about $430.
Re: Cell Phone Stolen and Used
Your son is free to make a police report. The police will investigate the phone numbers to try to figure out who stole the phone.
