    Violent Crimes for Background Check
My question involves a background check in the State of: Ohio.

On this application it says have you ever been CONVICTED of a felony, any type of assault, theft, or VIOLENT CRIME.

I was wondering what is meant by a violent crime... I was CHARGED with agg menacing, but I plead guilty to a reduced charge of Misdemeanor 4 - Disorderly Conduct.

    What would I answer?

    Thanks!

    You answer No.

You weren't CONVICTED of a violent crime.

I doubt that your employer would regard disorderly conduct as a violent crime; it sounds like you were charged with a violent crime but not convicted of one.
