Becoming a RN With a Conviction
My question involves a background check in the State of Tennessee involving acquiring a RN (registered nurse) license. About 4 years ago, I was arrested for Public Intoxication (Walking back to my dorm from a party... completely ridiculous). Anyways, I was arrested, sat in the drunk tank for 2 hours, and payed the $250 for bail. That is it, no court or anything. So I was curious if this would be considered a conviction and should I report it when I apply for my license?
Re: Becoming a RN With a Conviction
We have no way of knowing if it was a conviction. You'll have to check your disposition with the court, or get a copy of your criminal record.
