Fix It Ticket Repairs Worth More Than Vehicle
My question involves vehicle maintenance laws for the State of: California
Company truck received a fix it ticket, repair quote is more than the vehicle is worth. DMV says repairs must be made before ticket can be signed off. Is there any other option? Can vehicle be scrapped? Non-op registration? Etc.?

Those are decisions that you have to make yourself... One thing is, as I understand how a Non-Op works, it is only an option at the time the vehicle registration is up for renewal.
Also, as I understand correctable violations, neither scrapping the vehicle not filing a Non-Op will cancel out a correctable violation that was issued before the vehicle is scrapped/the non-op filed...
Meaning, unless the violation is corrected, the citation signed off, and proof of correction is filed in court in a timely manner, you'd have to pay the full fine amount instead of the $25 administrative fee for the correction.
Why don't you post the vehicle code section that you listed on the citation... Maybe we can find something...
