    Roommate Might Kick Me Out
My question involves a roommate in the State of: Florida

    :wallbang:

I moved in on March 1st. Rent has been on time every month in the form of CASH with no receipt. I am not on lease. He lives in this condo in an apt complex that his deceased father use to own, so the complex and condo association dont know about me living there. I simply pay him rent every month and mind my business.

I DO RECEIVE MAIL SINCE I MOVED IN.

Being that I am not trying to be his friend or go hang out (I go to work and come home, that's my life right now) or share food with him...he is starting to point out small things I do that bother him.

I just see it coming that he might come to me and say, you need to move out.

How long will I have to move out when he says that to me...and what does he have to do legally to get me out, that way if he doesn't do it right I can stay until I am ready to leave?

    Thank you!!!

He needs to give you 30 days written notice that he is terminating your tenancy.

If you're not out in 30 days, he needs to initiate formal eviction proceedings.

In the future, you'd do well to protect yourself with a written lease.
