93mph in 55 Zone on the Dulles Toll Road
My question involves a reckless driving ticket from the State of: VA
Hello All:
I received a speeding violation last month on the Dulles Toll Rd: 93 in a 55 zone
Facts:
1.) I'm a Maryland resident with no tickets since 2002
2.) Officer paced me in mid-day traffic on toll-road (No radar)
3.) I commute 75 miles one way to Fairfax, CO everyday from Maryland (since 2005)
4.) I've never received a VA traffic violation
5.) I showed up today to District Court and Judge said I better get a lawyer
6.) She postponed my case until early Aug
Your Opinion is Needed!
1.) What should I expect in regards to punishement?
2.) Is it possible to have this ticket reduced significantly?
My Plan:
1.) Hire a lawyer
2.) Go to safe driving class on a Saturday next month
3.) Pray
Re: 93mph in 55 Zone on the Dulles Toll Road
It's common for these tickets to be reduced to non-criminal offenses, but as the judge told you it's best to get help from a lawyer.
Re: 93mph in 55 Zone on the Dulles Toll Road
Met with atorney today and he mentioned that reckless driving charge (at 93pmh) will probably stick....a lesser charge would be very difficult to plea
Any thoughts?
