Green Card Holder Girlfriend with Tourist Visa
Hello everyone I need some help,

    Here is the situation

I am a green card holder, I will be able to become a citizen next year.

My girlfriend has a tourist visa. has never stayed illegally in the US

If she come here to the us with a tourist visa and we get married while she is here, what are our options? Will she lose the tourist visa?

will she still need a visa from the visa center?

will she get a SS and a work permit while her case settles it?

or should just we wait until I become a citizen.

    Thank you my friends

If she comes to the U.S. on a tourist visa and gets married, she is free to go home before her stay expires. If she chooses to overstay, she risks being picked up and deported for the overstay, or later being deemed to have lied upon entry (committing fraud by claiming to enter as a tourist when she intended to immigrate) and thus both deportable and ineligible to return. I would not suggest trying to bend or break immigration laws; if you want to be fully advised in your options and the possible consequences, consult an immigration lawyer with the details of the situation.
