Taking Pictures in Public of People
I live in California and was wondering if it is legal to walk down the street and take random pictures of people.

Are these people also on a public street or is your camera peeping thru windows of private property (houses, shops, restaurants)?

If the person you are photographing has a "reasonable expectation of privacy" you are breaking the law as written here: http://law.onecle.com/california/civil/1708.8.html

As my question stated, walking down the street taking random pictures of people. I am on the street, they are on the street. I am on the beach, they are on the beach. No spy stuff.
