Getting Out of Witnessing, for Personal Safety
My question involves criminal law for the state of:
    Texas

I was visiting people in the state of Texas when I witnessed domestic violence.

I called the police. Victim "does not remember anything." Making me the only witness.

Abuser was arrested based on my statements, and released on bond. The trial may be upcoming. I have not received a notice or a phone call summoning me, because the police listed my address as their address.

Both the abuser and the victim turned against me. I was told to get out.. immediately. I left my personal belongings, even, and took the next flight home.

He's dangerous and I'd rather not fly back there to witness.

I think he would have someone do something bad to me if I witnessed.

It would only be a Class A misdemeanor conviction.

My plan was to just forget about it and go about my merry way. Surely the abuser would throw away my summons.

But now I realize I could have a warrant put out for my arrest?

Unless you receive notice from the court to appear, you do nothing. If you DO receive notice and don't show, you could be facing a warrant of your own for contempt of court. However, if your address is wrong, you won't be there to receive proper service of the notice to appear in the first place.
