How did he get temporary custody withouth permission?

I was just informed that this man who has been helping me raise my son got three seperate temporary custody orders at three different times over 10 years ago for my son.

I haven't seen these papers but he told the HRS I had either given or signed temporary custoday while I was away. He said he had the papers at his house and could produce them. The HRS said they have the papers on their desk and indeed they are temporary custody papers giving this man the right to have my kid. (Was on bed rest and couldn't take care of my three year old and has father left when I was pregnant and never met him)

I was never aware of any temporary custody papers being given to this man (who is not a relative and was just a friend). I was in contact with him the entire time and only lived about 10 minutes away. How could he get temporary custody papers without my awareness. My son has been living with me and my husband for 8 years and I've allowed this man to remain a part of my son's life all these years. This man is a menise and is telling my son that I hate him and have never loved him and I abandoned him when he was a baby.

My family and I are I are on one heck of a mess right now because of this man and I really need some help.

Get copies of the documents from HRS, and that should give you some idea of how they were obtained.
