    Citation 22356(B) Vc-1 and 16028(A) Vc1-I
My question involves a speeding ticket from the State of: California. Citation numbers 22356(B) VC-1 and 16028(A) VC1-I. I was cited for going 90 in a 70 mile/hr. zone. Cost of citation is $1,147 and $25 for correction. Is the cost of the citation reasonable or high? Would I be successful at getting this reduced?

It is neither reasonable nor high... Fines are not randomly set. They are set by following the Uniform Bail Schedule issued by the Judicial Council of California.

Question is, did you have insurance at the time you were cited? If you did, you can show proof of valid coverage for that date and you could save approximately $760 by paying the $25 correction fee and they will drop the 16028 charge.

If you didn't have valid coverage at the time and assuming you do get coverage later, you might try to request that the judge reduce your 16028 as some judges will do that. Otherwise you're stuck paying the full amount.
