I was charged with Furnishing Alcohol to a Minor (Texas) more than a year ago (May 8th). I hired a lawyer immediately, but a warrant for my arrest was never made. I'm not sure if the paperwork was never made or completely finished. Will the conviction appear on my record? Can I basically act as if this never happened?
If you're never charged, you won't be convicted. If you are eventually charged, and are eventually convicted, then you'll have a conviction on your record.
Unless and until you're charged with something, you can proceed with your life as if you have not been charged with a crime... because until then, you haven't been charged with a crime.
