Is a minor's (11 years old) name change still legal and binding, if the other parent was never served?
Maybe. How long has the other parent known about the name change? What action has the other parent taken?
The change occurred about 4 years ago, however it was only brought to light within the past 3 weeks because of some medical billing / insurance issues.
Nothing has been done as of yet. Despite it being a very deceitful, hurtful and a great indication of the CP's attitude towards NCP, we're not sure that trying to alter it back is worth involving the children again. Any personal thoughts on this?
Should it be brought up the next time they appear in court (soon) re: current orders and visitation?
