Marijuana Paraphernalia and MIP Charge

My question involves criminal law for the state of: California, County of San Diego,

Hello just on the 25th of may i was cited for Paraphernalia of Maru. Pipe in my truck as well as a MIP of alcohol. My question is are there any diversion classes for any of these charges? I was reading another forum saying that if your 20 1/2 they will drop the charge to a public disturbance and i was not driving my truck when they found the pipe in my truck. the charge that they gave me for the pipe was a emc 9.20.020. could you tell me what kind of charges i could expect? thank you for your time...

sorry to confuse you this is also my first offense in california for both. I have a previous record of MIC (minor in consumption) in arizona, but im assuming the states don't share information like this. are there any diversions i could take for any of them?
