    Emancipation at Age Fifteen
Im 15 and my birthday isn't till october, I live in Florida and I need to get away. Me and my family have voilent fights sometimes but alot of verbal fights and theres not talking to them its either put up with all of this or go to like bootcamp and juvi etc. But sometimes they will try to kick me out of the house as in lock me out or just tell me to get out now but when I leave to go to a friends house of something to cool down they threaten to call the cops and stuff. But they've tried several times to send me away but they never have but we have a fight about everyday that my parents start and then blame it on me and try to bring everyone and the cops in to our fights and stuff. But I need to get away from Florida I have a place to go with a good friend and a job but its in California. I wanted to know would I be able to get emancipated and move there because its either that or me get sent away for a while for stuff I don't even do. My parents try to bring my religion into it, I am not the same as them I have a more anti religion and they try to send me away cause they think i am emotionally distracted which is total bs. But I just need to know if I can get emancipated from here and move to Cali cause theres nothing here for me anymore. I appreciate it.

In Florida, your parents would have to initiate the emancipation process.

I know exactly how you feel! Running Away is a choice. if you run away and IF the police find you they dont have to bring you back to your parents until they decide if it is safe. PLUS if the people you are staying with dont mind you being with them then the police will let you live with that person ( if they see it is a suitable place to be) until the court date and hearing with a judge. Good Luck!!!
