Being Too Old to Date
My question involves juvenile law in the State of: Indiana
My case is that I'm 17 going to be 18 soon. I however want to date someone who is 15 and who will not turn 16 till after I turn 18. My question is if I start to date her can any lawful action be taken aganst me

Re: Being to Old to Date
That depends on your definition of "date".

Re: Being to Old to Date
Uh-huh.
Let's put it this way. As another poster here is wont to say, as long as you don't do anything with the 15 year old that you could not do in the front pew of the church on Christmas morning with her parents sitting in the pew behind you, you have nothing to worry about.
The law does not dictate who can and cannot hang out together. The law dictates who can and cannot have sexual contact. Please note that sexual contact is NOT limited to intercourse.

Then please tell me what they are limited to, with exception of the obvious few.

If you need to ask that question, consider dating somebody your own age.

Re: Being to Old to Date
Let me put it to you like this.
Your going to be a legal adult. If her parents object, do not push the issue, respect the parents wishes and move on down the road.
I had a rule of thumb growing up.
16 years old and up. Once I turned 16 I didn't date or even think about dating someone that was younger then 16.
When I turned 18 I didn't date anyone that was younger then 18.
When I turned 21, I didn't date anyone under 21. How much fun is it to hang out with friends that want to go to clubs. But have a gf that is not able to get in legally.
Stay with in your age group and you will not have any issues.
