    Trespassing Charges and Citizenship Application
I have been a Lawful Permanent Resident for 5 years now and 4 years ago I was arrested for trespassing on an abandoned property; I was arrested, charged with criminal trespass and spent 2 days in jail. 6 month later the charges were dismissed.
    My questions are:
    1. Should I even apply for US citizenship hoping that my applications will be approved since the charges were dropped?
    2. Should I wait couple more years, so that the arrest and charges would be outside the 5 years requirement?
    Thank you.

Consult good immigration attorney, if you were convicted by pleading guilty or no contest and court sentence you. On the other hand Trespassing is not CIMT so you should be fine in that area.

I suggest consulting an immigration lawyer. I do not, however, expect that the offense you describe is going to prevent naturalization (although it may cause the process to drag on longer than usual).
