Contacting Lien Holders on Evicted Business
My question involves business law in the state of: Colorado
My separated / estranged husband is in federal custody, facing 10 years to life. He ran and small business, but he lost his business to to an eviction on May 1, 2009. There were three liens on the business and the landlord called the liens on the business. The largest a bank came and inspected the left over merchandise to see if they wanted to auction them off. The bank , basically said they do not want it and now it is back on my shoulders to get rid of the items. What letters can I send out to state that he is in federal custody and to come get their items or let them know he is awaiting trail, possible a 1o years to life sentence, has no assets, no money and getting a divorce from his wife? Can I email a letter stating come pick up your items within 5 days or you abandoned / forfeit the items and they can go after him in federal custody? :wallbang:
Re: Contacting Lien Holders on Evicted Business
What's your relationship to the business? Shareholder? Co-owner? I'm trying to clarify why this is your problem.
