Dangerous Weapon Charge

My question involves criminal law for the state of: well i live in canada im only 20 years old , i been charge with dangerous weapon but i did not pull it out on anyone the knife was on the ground my friend droped it , i picked it up for the safty of others , i tired to tell the cops but they wouldnt belive me even tho i didnt have the knife on me at the time of my arrest , im a first offender , what am i looking for , im just really scared ima go to jail , for being innocent

Second, you have given us the most skeletal set of facts.... we don't know why your friend dropped the knife, why you picked it up, why the police are involved, why your friend hasn't backed you up, etc. I suggest you consult a lawyer in your Province for guidance on how to proceed.
