Can I Get Emancipated at 20
My question involves emancipation laws for the State of: Pennsylvania
I will be 20 this week and my biggest struggle is paying for school. My issue is that I've talked to the director of financial aid at the community college I've been planning to attend, but he said there's nothing they can do to help me. Apparently I am not needy enough. I left home in November because my mother was emotionally abusive and I have no idea where my father is. I've never been in foster care, I'm completely independent, except by the standards for FASFA (I can't be independent until I'm 24) and I live on my own. The financial aid director said that I can only get an unsubsidized loan but not by this fall, and I don't make enough to pay in cash and with no credit it's almost impossible to get a loan. so I figure that my only option is to get emancipated, get pregnant, married, or join the military. please help me.
Re: Can I Get Emancipated at 20
Legally you are already emancipated and have been for two years.

When you left home, where did you go? Who other than yourself is providing financial or other support (ie who pays for your roof, groceries, health insurance, etc.)?
