    Lifting a No Contact Order
My question involves no contact orders in the State of: WA

My boyfriend of 4 years was charged with Misdemeanor DV against me 2 weeks ago. The pre-trial is coming up next week. I have already gone to the judge to ask to lift the No Contact order. She actually modified it to email contact only for financial purposes but I have read on a WA attorney's site that if the judge has modified it, they are more likely to lift it 'later'. Not sure what later means, could they lift it at pre-trial? This would be his first DV issue, too, and it was very minor, and alcohol was the factor. He's never laid a hand on me before, there was no injury involved. And he has not attempted to violate the order. Word has it that he is also going to AA and getting an AA assessment done this week. Thanks

Is there a motion before the court to lift the order at the pretrial? If nobody asks, I wouldn't expect it to happen.
