After Everything in Divorce
My question involves divorce in the State of: Oregon
I have a friend that is going through a contested divorce and he owns and pays for a house he doesn't live in and hasnt for the past 6 months cause his wife wants to provoke him! He has fully supported her through this all process and has made no move to leave the house at all even after her high tax refund and her job.... and he has a trial coming up and has tried reasoning with her but she insists on spousal support;child support;and just about everything else she can think of! but he holds all the proof that he pays for everything and the house is in his name and she pays for absolutely nothing and has put the kids in the middle of the Divorce.....Is he going to have a good case against her? with not paying spousal support etc....he has much proof and she has little! His worries is his income is higher than hers but he has proof to where it all goes!
Re: After Everything in Divorce
What has his lawyer said? Surely he has one? If he doesn't, he really needs to get one.
Filing for support and such only means she's asking to court to award her support and such. It's no guarantee that she'll get it.
Whether or not he's got any sort of case against it is anyone's guess. We're not privy to the facts of his case - that's the territory of his own counsel.
