State of Illinois work comp claim.
im coming on 5 years being out of work is there a time limit i can be out that the employer does not have to take you back? yes i was injured on the job and i want to return to job. just wondering if lawyer is trying to delay so the time limit is up on returning to work.
please help with this one....:wallbang: i just want to go back to work im to young to retire or perm disability. im 44 yrs old

Worker's comp doesn't provide any job guarantees, beyond your not being able to be fired in retaliation for filing a claim. If you had FMLA leave, it ended after 12 weeks.
A five year worker's comp battle, and you don't have a lawyer yet? What's up with that?

Yes, there is a time limit after which the employer does not have to take you back, and you passed that limit 4 years and nine months ago.
There are other options besides going back to the same employer, retiring, or taking permanent disability.
