Abritration Appeal
My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: MS
What steps can I take to appeal an Arbitrator's decision for the company? I was terminated due to attendance however the company violated the FMLA for charging me for days that did not exceed the 450 hours of FMLA time I am allowed.

Re: Abritration Appeal
This was an arbitration through your union? An arbitration through a government agency? An arbitration you agreed to as a resolution of a lawsuit you filed?
It was binding arbitration?
What does your contract or order for arbitration say about appeals or other relief from the arbitrator's decision?

Re: Abritration Appeal
This was an arbitration through the Union, and I believe it was binding. However if the Arbitrator clearly looked over the evidence that shows I didn't not exceed the 450 fmla hours within a rolling calendar year I'm allowed, isn't that against the law. How can a decision be unappealable that is a violation of the FMLA Act?

Re: Abritration Appeal
Ask your union rep about your appeals rights.
