Possible Discrimination Based on Infection My Son Has
MY husband and son were both hospitalized because of MRSA a methacillin restiant form of staph infection. My employer told me i had to have a doctors note to return to work saying basically i wasn't infectious. In short i got the note and took it to my employer who in turn treated me like i had the plague in front of at least 15 of my fellow employees, she basically said i couldn't come back to work because it was still in my household. I guess i'm wondering do i have to tell my employer about my son's health i feel like thats irrelevant. My doctor said i'm fine to work. so how can they say i'm not due to something my son has? Is that legal?

    I'm in Michigan

Your complaint is that your employer is phobic of germs? That she's being overprotective of other employees while you have an active MRSA infection in your house? Or are you saying that she disclosed confidential health information to other employees?
