The Terms of Emancipation in Oklahoma
I'm 16 years old an i live with my dad and his fiance. I know the fact that we don't get along with each other will contribute but will any of these?
-I have my own job and which i support my self with. I buy my own groceries, clothes, shoes, medicine, anything that applies to school or anything else i might need. I take care of myself finacially. I am almost finished with high school due to the fact i am graduating early.
-the only thing is i live under his roof..is there anyway i could get emicipated and live with another relative until i'm 18
    ?

Re: Are These Terms of Eminicpation//Oklahoma
In Oklahoma, the only thing being emancipated does for you is give you the right to sign a contract. It does not give you the right to move out of the house.

If your father gives you permission to move in with another relative, you can. If he does not, you cannot.

And even IF Oklahoma had the full range of emancipation available, emancipation means you provide for yourself 100%, by yourself. No living under someone else's roof, splitting the rent, etc.
