Who is Responsible for Replacing Shared Retaining Wall
My question involves real estate located in the State of: british columbia

My neighbor and I share a wooden retaining wall running along the property line. We live on quite a steep slope and the retaining is failing. I live on the lower side. He has planted some trees that are pushing into the retaining wall along with some soil errosion as well from his side. Is he responsible for maintenance and repair or replacement or should we split any costs involved.

This is a U.S. board, and you really should be asking a canadian lawyer or exploring a Canadian legal resources. (For instance.)
