What Can He Do
My question involves emancipation laws for the State of: Missouri
OK my question is that my boyfriend is 17 and lives with his parent but he is a slave who pays rent pays bills works goes to school full time and dose everything they say. But it is not enough for them so my question is if he moves out (he is 17 and they allow it here in Missouri) and gets is own place can he still go to school and everything?:wallbang::confused:

Re: What Can He Do
The age of majority in Missouri is 18, NOT 17. 17 only applies to being the age at which he can be sentenced as an adult if he's convicted of a crime (also meaning that "juvenile crimes" like curfew, truency, etc. won't be pursued) - but that it is NOT the age he is legally free to live beyond the control of his parents. He can move out and live independently only IF he has the permission of his parents to do so, and, he needs to know that they can revoke that permission at any time up until he actually turns 18.
