Paraphernalia: Drug Paraphernalia in Grinder; Less Than 1g

My question involves criminal law for the state of: ohio

I originally got pulled over for speeding. When the officer asked for my registation i went to grab it out of my glove department. When i reached in to grab it a grinder fell on my seat. He then said he had the right to search my car. he grabbed the grinder which had less than a gram in it. this is my first criminal trouble. Other than this all i have is a couple speeding tickets. Can anyone tell me if i should plead no contest or if i should get an attorny and fight it. hopefully i can get a court appointed attorney. but if i do plead no contest how much trouble will i be in. oh and by the way i'm 18. thanks.
