    Recognition of Emancipation
My question involves emancipation laws for the State of: South Dakota.
We are preparing for my daughter to be emancipated and there are no statutes/laws/processes to go by in Minnesota. Except that it needs to be agreed to by parents and child with some stipulations met. She will be going to South Dakota. Will they recognize our notarization of emancipation agreement?:wallbang:

We don't know. Why don't you ask them?

Who are "they", and what would you hope to accomplish with these forms? Your daughter is how old?

Note also that the apparent ability to emancipate with parental consent does not, of itself, mean that there need not be a court order granting emancipation based on that consent. see, Youth and the Law: A Guide for Legislators, p. 44-45. ("Emancipation could be expected to occur (1) by reaching the age of 18, (2) by lawful marriage, or (3) by court order.")
